What is Network Bandwidth?

February 19th, 2008 by admin

Many people are curious as to what network bandwidth is. This is a common question among home DSL subscribers that wish to implement the use of more than one computer on the connection. This type of bandwidth is simply the amount of specific data that can be transferred through a network, or a connection with more than one computer attached to it, at one specific time. Another One.

February 14th, 2008 by admin

So, I reckon that PSPpro is jolly good. So everyone tells me.  Anyway there must be others. Out there somewhere. freeware image editing, preferably. Something like digiKam, I suppose. The one that came with my Printer isn't too bad either. Another almost okay one. From Lexmark too. The current Cannon suite is not quite as good though. The Lexmark OCR was definately better. However, I like the cartridges in the Cannon better. Not much cheaper, however.

On Trust and Security Software

February 13th, 2008 by admin

Sadly, we cannot trust anyone these days. In today’s world, you take your shoes off at the airport and you submit yourself to background checks every time you seek employment. And it’s now clear as day that you cannot trust people online.   security software is our barrier against the malicious programs created by people who want to gain access to our computers or otherwise just wreak havoc on them. Thankfully, a lot of security software is available online. However, it is important to note that security software has to be kept updated against outside threats regularly; otherwise it will not be much use against any of the newer threats appearing today.
