Are WoW Guides Just For Newbies?

So, is it true that when you get a world of warcraft strategy guide for gold farming that it really isn’t going to be that great because if you have it, then everyone else does too?

I”m wondering if the guides out there are really for the very inexperienced people and those new to on line role playing games in general or if there really is any information that can help a seasoned player like me.

I’d hate to waste money just to learn how to build up herbalism or learn mining to make money when I already know how!
