What is Network Bandwidth?

Many people are curious as to what network bandwidth is. This is a common question among home DSL subscribers that wish to implement the use of more than one computer on the connection. This type of bandwidth is simply the amount of specific data that can be transferred through a network, or a connection with more than one computer attached to it, at one specific time. In simple terms, it is the amount of “pressure” that a specific internet connection can handle.
